A reminder to look after your mental health while working from home.

If you’re reading this, you’ve already taken the first step towards having peaceful mental health; pausing and giving yourself a break from all the stress that working from home causes your mind. 

This pandemic is a first for a lot of people and even if you’ve been through one before, it is difficult to cope with. Anxiety from living in a closed space, stress from not completing your work on time, fear of not knowing what’s next, and irritation of not having a proper working environment. 

While these feelings are completely valid, there are some things you can do to protect your mental health.


1. Take some time out: Just pause, relax, and breathe. Working non-stop can really mess with your head, so remember to take a break. Even if it’s just for 15 minutes.

2. Plan your day: If you haven’t already made a schedule for your day, make sure you do. Planning your day out in advance will help you stay organized and be able to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

3. Stay hydrated: Keep sipping on water while working. Put a reminder on your phone if you have to, but don’t forget to drink water!

4. Stay connected: How lucky are we to have technology that allows us to be with our friends and family (if not physically) through our phones? Let’s take advantage of this and stay connected with them. Facetime, call, Skype, or message, we’ve got a lot of options. Talking to them will help you stay calm and collected.
